Follow the 2024 team on its mission trip to Uganda

Last minute packing.  That’s what eight mission trip members are doing today in preparation for the 2024 mission trip to Kassunga, Uganda.  To keep up with the team’s adventures, follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Threads @kassungamissioninitiative.

The team will depart from the Church of the Epiphany early Saturday, July 20, and touch down in Entebbe late afternoon on Sunday, July 21.

The trip is a joint venture between Kassunga Mission Initiative and Epiphany’s St. Teresa Ministry.

On Tuesday, some four hundred children at St. Teresa’s Learning Center will welcome home Fr. John Kazibwe along with team members Steve and Marcia Czenczek, Sharon Nuzik, Phil Powell, Martha Rubin, Millie Sauer, Steve Smith and Christa Vidonic.

Over two weeks, the team will conduct a clinic with Ugandan medical partners, exchange letters from supporters and friends with the students, spend time doing activities in the classrooms and finish with a Fun Day of outdoor games.  There will also be time to meet with teachers, staff, parents and community leaders to celebrate the school’s progress and update plans for the future.
